GV-398

- Colour system: Pal. Colour subcarrier stability +/- 1 ppm from 4 to 40 ºC
- 12 test patterns
- Multipattern: two, three or four charts can be combined into a single images
- VITS: CCIR signals, white signal, sin X/X
- 10 memories to store 10 configurations
- Burst and audio signals selectable
- Outputs: RF, video, Blackburst
- Inputs video, LF audio, RS-232C
- Remote control through RS-232
The GV-395 and GV-398 generate, with a 1170 samples per line synthesizer, 12 high quality pattens with possibility to combine up to 4 of
them together on tjhe screen . They also generates the Vertical Interval .
Test Signals (VITS) in the key lines of the video signals which allow to evalution the behaviour of a transmission system with no interference
on the broadcasted program.
The signals are based on the international standarts requirements for the video signals.
The analysis is normally made on visual or electronic comparison of the parameters of the signal under test with the stabilished references and regulations that put limits to drifts and distortion for all of them.
Both GV-395 and GV-398 allows the VITS signals to appear full screen at will and not only on the dedicated and specified lines of the video signal.
Test signals like sin x/x, modulated ramp with colour subcarrier,BBC or EBU colour bars, 2T or 20T allow to recognize the problems of the transmisson system just by studying the output signals.
The GV-398 also offers a synthesized radiofrequency output between 37 and 865 MHz as well as NICAM BG sound.

The GV-395 has a one-unit rack format which permis to install it into rack cabinet.
